‘One Person’ to head to Zagreb

Iran short animated film ‘One Person’ is set to vie at this year’s edition of World Festival of Animated Film Zagreb, also known as Animafest Zagreb, in Croatia.

‘One Person’, directed by Mahboobeh Kalaee will take part in the Student Film Competition of the 29th edition of Animafest Zagreb slated for June.

Earlier reports said Iran’s 8-minute animation ‘Am I a Wolf?’, directed by Amir-Houshang Moein, will also participate in the festival’s Short Film Competition.

Founded in 1972, the Animafest Zagreb is the world’s second oldest animation film festival.

The event has been one of the world’s go-to film festivals for animation lovers, right next to film festivals in Annecy, Hiroshima, and Ottawa.

Winners of Animafest Zagreb’s Grand Prix awards automatically qualify for the Academy Award and the European Animation Award.

The 29th edition of the festival will be held in the Croatia’s northwestern capital of Zagreb on June 3-8, 2019.
